In New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Jay Crownover’s third novel in her sexy, thrilling Welcome to the Point series, a woman’s search for repentance leads her to the one man from her past she can’t forget as they join forces to save their city—and the explosive love neither can live without.
Titus King sees the world in black and white. Right and wrong. Which is why as a teenager he left behind the only family he’d ever known to make a better life for himself. Now a police detective in one of the worst cities in the country, he can’t deny his life has turned into a million different shades of gray.
The new criminal element in The Point has brought vengeance and destruction right to Titus’s front door, and the difference between right and wrong is nothing compared to keeping those he loves alive. To add to his already strained moral compass, the beautiful and mysterious Reeve Black has made her way back to town, and she might be as dangerous to Titus as the guy trying to destroy the Point because he needs her—in more ways than one.
Reeve knows all about how ruthless this new threat to destroy The Point can be… and instead of running away, she wants to help. She has a lot to repent for and saving the city, plus the hot cop that she hasn’t been able to forget might just be the only way she can finally find some inner peace.
With an entire city poised on the brink of war, Titus and Reeve stand in the crossfire—and it will take two brave souls to fight for the ultimate love.

Review:
Better When He's Brave...
Jay Crownover does it again. She drew me into this series and it has taken over my life! Lol, not really but her books do manage to control a large part of my day whenever I have one in my hands. For example, this book I didn't stop reading until I finished it. I mean, when you are reading about a guy like Titus, why in the world is dinner important?
But really, I was just so impressed with how Jay keeps with the style and the attitude of The Point. The storyline of this series is so complex and so many things happen in the series I sometimes forget exactly who is dead and what actually happened to the characters from the first book. (Haven't read the series in a while? I would recommend a little refresher before reading Better When He's Brave).
I will admit to having a hard time getting into this book at first. There was a lot of reminiscing on what happened in the first two books and just a little bit of a set up for the plot. The first few chapters kind of felt like a recap which was helpful, but it didn't draw me into the book. (Kind of like the Harry Potter Series where you suffer through the first chapter to get to the good stuff). Yet once Reeve and Titus started interacting a little more, the book got super interesting super fast ;).
Reeve was a really tough character. She was so different than I imagined in Better When He's Bad and Better When He's Bold. In the two previous stories, she was more of a negative character. She was the reason Dovie was kidnaped and everything kind of fell apart. Yet in this book, Reeve is the gal that is going to help the good guys win... "gasp" I know. She's so different than I thought that it was a little challenging to get over my previous misconceptions. When Better When He's Brave goes into Reeve's perspective there is this explanation of why she did all of the bad things and it made it really hard for me to not forgive her. As her character develops it was really easy to sympathize with her and want her to win and survive the book ;).
And then there was Titus....

I have to admit to always having a little crush on Titus. First off, love his name! It just sounds super sexy. (Although I don't know if I would date a Titus outside of Jay's books ;)). Then there is his whole hero complex... what's not to love. Out of this whole series, Titus is probably the only actual "good guy". Bax was more of a converted good/bad guy and Race was the same. Yet even with the good guy stigma, Titus doesn't disappoint when it comes to being a badass.
Overall this book didn't disappoint. I loved the characters and the switching of the roles. Reeve was the badass that needed the good guy to set her on the right track instead of the other way around. I was also glad to see previous characters living the dream (kind of) in The Point. I can not wait for the next book in the series about Nassir and Key! I can already tell it's going to be amazing :).
