New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Jennifer Probst sparks a blissful mind-body connection as her “sexy, satisfying” (Kirkus Reviews) new series continues!
She’s an expert in helping others de-stress, but Arilyn Meadows is running on fumes. Along with her job counseling singles seeking soul mates at the Kinnections agency in Verily, New York, she’s a yoga teacher, animal shelter volunteer, anger management therapist, and helping hand to her beloved grandfather. No time to find Mr. Right—but after discovering her yogi boyfriend in a compromising asana, Arilyn would rather dog-sit for her honeymooning friend Kate than risk her heart on another downward dog. And when police officer Stone Petty—radiating masculinity and bad-boy attitude—is sent to her for mandatory lessons in cooling off when the job gets too hot, Arilyn vows to ignore his seductive glances and sexy grin. But there’s no halting their sizzling flirtation—a red-hot, high-speed chase that’s breaking all the limits.

Searching for Always...
I have to say that Jennifer Probst knows how to write a book that makes you laugh. I don't know if it's just me, but I seem to always be in a fit of giggles (gasp! Giggles, I know, what an outcry). The characters are just amazingly funny and I love how she fits them together to get out this misshapen but perfect puzzle.
In this book are a lot of "discover yourself" moments. It seemed to me that within this book were two characters that are hiding from their pasts and taking a little bit of an easier route rather than being right up front. Officer Stone, for example, has this idea of who he thinks he is supposed to be, only to find out it's okay to change and challenge himself and his beliefs. Same goes for Arilyn.
Side Note: I adore the name Arilyn! I just think it sounds so beautiful and airy! Perfect for this character for sure.
One thing I have to say about this series in all is that the writing is very light and happy. Sure the situations might be dark or there might be touchy topics, but, for the most part, this book was very bubbly and optimistic. This can be both a positive and a negative. Looking for a light summer read: here is the series for you. Wanting something to challenge your innermost thoughts on life and how you live it, probably not for you.
This isn't to say the author is a bad writer or she is too optimistic. It's just the personality of her books are very uplifting and fun. This is the book to read when you are recovering from a tragedy story. This book will remind you that there are such things as love and recovery... it breathes optimism.
The characters aren't bad either. For the most part, they are very charming and likable.
Arilyn reminds me of a fairy. She floats around wanting to heal everything in her path. Yet she isn't some ditzy girl, she is actually quite smart and proves it again and again throughout the novel. One of my favorite parts of the novel is when she is knocking heads with Stone. The two of them have it out for each other since the first meet and greet and I loved their passion.
Stone is the guy who acts tougher than he is. This was really prevalent when he was taking care of Pinky. I can't explain how many times my heart ached as I laughed at how loving he was without mentally believing it. He was completely against dogs yet one little puppy whine and he was a goner! So endearing!
Overall this book is completely adorable and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a light-hearted romance with a twist. Or for anyone who loves it when a dog brings two people together! Definitely the best book I've read where the dog solidifies the relationship!
