Review:
The Plot. This story was beautifully written and told a tale of heartbreak and redemption. Aria is a girl that is repressed by her abusive father as the family is overcome by their grief. Life seems to be impossibly bleak and Aria fights depression as her dreams seem unreachable.
I loved how much emotion that was put into this story. Each word and phrase was wrote with the intention of bringing out emotion of every kind. Every twist and turn cause shock and tears and the happy ending seemed very far away. I loved how the author didn’t rush the story, and allowed the relationships of this book to grow gradually and thoroughly. The characters developed in such different ways, yet they all came to the same point.
Aria. I like how the author made Aria into a character that didn’t fall for the guy right away. It was amazing to see how she goes from a horrible situation and then has the power to empower herself and put herself into a different situation. She challenged her father to find out the truth about her mother even if she knew that the consequences could be dangerous.
Other Characters. Thomas was definitely the catalyst in Aria’s life. He changed the way she saw herself and her future. He saw her for the potential she had and was willing to risk heartbreak just to be her friend. When he leaves it really puts Aria into a spin and his reasons behind it are pretty interesting. I loved how much emotion were put into Thomas and how real he seemed.
The End.I loved the ending. It definitely was the tear jerker-happy ending that I was looking forward to throughout the book. It was a perfect ending to this heartbreaking story and I loved how the author managed to tie up all loose ends and leave some mystery.
